Paragliding - Club Pilot

Club pilot is the final stage of learning within the school environment.  Once you are qualified as a 'CP' you can class yourself as a real pilot, and spread your wings around the UK, flying other sites, and joining local clubs.  You no longer need to book your flying days, and can go flying at your leisure or after work.  You have arrived...welcome to paragliding!!

During the club pilot course you are taught, to soar the skies reaching 500ft plus, using ridge and thermal lift.  You will be taught how to land back on top of the hill so you will no longer have to walk up after every flight.

You will learn how to make your glider fly faster, control it in active air, and make a rapid but safe decent rate where necessary.  You will also learn how to recover your glider should the worse happen, and how to fly safely with other gliders.

You will sit a series of 4 x 40min lectures during the CP course covering Metrology - Airlaw/Airmanship - Theroy of Flight- followed by a 45 minute exam, 70% being the pass rate.
