OK, here we go, Thermal Chasers dates for 2010 are here!

Last year we had 5 extremely successful Thermal Chasers trips. This year we will start off with the following 6 dates and if they fill fast we will bring on some more dates. Please book ASAP so as to help me with all the arrangements.

Thermal Chasers - Ireks Story

Hi All,

The last Thermal Chasers trip in 2009 has ended, fantastic people, fantastic sites, fantastic flying, everything you may wish for... Many thanks to you all for the time spent together in the air and on the ground - day and night.

The first full season of Thermal Chasers trips is over (what a year). Here is my story:

I attended 5 trips and met 24 wonderful mates representing 8 nationalities (France, Hungary, New Zealand, Poland, Portugal, Russia, UK and USA). With some of them I shared the joy of free flying more then once - 3 times with Eva, Pete, and Simon, twice with Kev and Nick Wedgwood. Two generations flew together in France: Mother and son - Nicola & Simon Sykes, father an son - Nick & Sam Wedgwood.

Thermal Chasers flew abroad 31 out of 32 day (the day missing was flyable, only the lack of site guide prohibited us from flying - 100% weather forecast accuracy!!!!!!! Thanks Andy). My personal score:

Thermal Chasers took a part in Slovenia Open Accuracy Competition(Skywings June 2009 p.42) I have no words to thank Green Dragons CFI, the Thermal Chasers creator, Andy Shaw for making my dream come through - from **** scared red ribbon low airtime CP to XC pilot in one year!!!!!!

Thermal Chasers - Background

Since the early eighties, we have been running trips overseas across the world for both her majesty's forces and the general public. We have been to Turkey, Africa and the French Alps at the same time of the year; only to find one year the weather and flying was outstanding, then the next year, it was ok, or in some cases terrible!

This seems to be a trend across the world with fully pre-planned flying holidays, due to our ever changing weather and climate. And no one has a cyrstal ball... But do we the 'Thermal Chasers'?.

Thermal Chasers trips are planned are first planned around a date. As the date approaches your insturctors are busy scouring the globe for the best weather conditions. One week before, we chose a location that is the most likely to have the most favourable weather. We have found this is the best way to ensure you get guaranteed pilot progression and acheive your personal best as a pilot.
